About the course

When coaches communicate effectively, teams perform better, learn faster, and grow together. Communication is the central mechanism coaches use to shape the interscholasitc athletic experience and establish a positive team culture.

That is why the NFHS, in partnership with the University of Washington’s Center for Leadership in Athletics, has created the course, Communicating with Today’s Students.

In this course, you will learn the importance of strong communication for high-performing teams, reflect on your own communication style and its impact on students, parents, and fellow coaches, learn how to increase engagement and strengthen relationships, and develop practical strategies for everyday coaching interactions that will further enhance your communication skills.

So, take the course, Communicating with Today’s Athletes, available now at NFHSLearn.com.
